Our first skitur (ski outing) of the season – with neghbours Kvammen/Hanssen. Gorgeous day, perfect conditions, and hot dog grilling. This was Karel’s first ever skitur skiing completely on his own. He didn’t stop once. Very impressive! We are very proud.

Lest you think my husband and son willingly accompanied me to a mall 40 minutes away, let’s be clear that the main attraction was a short ski-sprint just outside the mall.

We had the privilege of spending a day in Steven’s Point, WI, site of the Special Olympics Wisconsin State Summer Games.

…Okay, well maybe not really slopes but rather gently rolling hills. Today, for the first time, the Minneapolis Lyngstads went cross-country skiing.
