Running a marathon is one of the amazing experiences that you’d do that actually feel a lot better after you’ve done them than during the experience itself. (Running a marathon can, of course, only be considered amazing if you’re in possession of a slightly mis-wired and masochistic brain.)

TrainersToday is exactly one week before my debut as a marathon runner.

Once I started training for my first marathon I decided that I was not going to pay to race 42.195 km/26.2 miles and rack up a weekly mileage of 50-70 km only to risk throwing it all away by getting injured before the big race.

Masks

Sunny and 65F/20C! Totally worth sacrificing some day-time sleep after a night shift. Not that sleep-sacrificing is something I do a lot of these days, but the motivating factor turned out to be well worth it.
