Hyttetur is one of the most important Norwegian words. It means “going to/being at the cabin” – which is an important thing to do! Traditionally (as in our case) a “hytte” has no plumbing, running water or electricity. Seeing as this is the coldest winter in living memory, it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that the cabin was freezing when we got there on Saturday.
